Introduction:
- Chen Zhiqi (played by Zhang Xiaofei), a Chinese gold medal female lawyer, receives a mysterious phone call after her daughter is kidnapped, demanding that she provide a defense for a death row inmate within five days, otherwise the ticket will be torn!
- Forced to do so, Chen Zhiqi teams up with police officer Jin Zhixiong (played by Li Hongqi) to investigate. During the search for clues, her defense of the death row inmate is questioned by the victim's family member Lin Shue (played by Hui Yinghong).
- Chen Zhiqi cannot afford to lose this defense that concerns her daughter's life and death! However, as the case deepens, she discovers that she has been drawn into another conspiracy.
